The Patrick and Carlos Hope Initiative is dedicated to advancing public awareness of addiction and recovery through film and media initiatives that share recovery stories and connect individuals with critical community resources.
The Patrick and Carlos Hope Initiative was founded by Anthony Margotta Jr. to honor the lives and legacies of Patrick Margotta and Carlos Aguiar—two beloved brothers whose lives were lost to addiction and substance abuse.

Years after stepping away from the sport that both made and broke him, legendary jockey Ramon Moya returned to the world of thoroughbred racing under the guidance of Anthony R. Margotta Jr., a thoroughbred horse racing trainer haunted by his own past. Drawn together by a shared search for redemption, the two men are rebuilding their lives and reputations behind the scenes.
